Not everyone who is disabled is on a wheelchair. What about people who have neuropathy and can who can stand but it hurts to sit or lie down. What about people with remitting relapsing MS who also look normal on good days and do not yet require a wheelchair? I do not think this icon represents these folks at all. Thanks.

Idiotic. The original icon doesn't even refer to people in wheelchairs only. There are also people in wheelchairs who can not move the chair on their own at all. The original icon is an unambiguous, neutral, and globally recognized sign. The new icon looks like an angry person in a wheelchair, possibly screaming "get the f outta my way". Stupidity like this can be invented only in America.

Nice. Like new icon and you ideas. Thanks. Please keep up the good work.

Love the new icon.

I see that, yeah. You wish to empower disabled people in any way you can, that's the point? (honest question, no sarcasm!) Cheers
Josh White
The goal is outlined clearly enough. The wish is to change the mindset able-bodied people have towards the disabled. You miss the mark, Christophe.

Gotta go fast.

Ugh. Typical of today's society, where nothing can remotely offend anyone. I'll bet that this initiative was thought of by someone without any disabilities, because disabled people couldn't give a shit. What about people with arm and leg disabilities? Will they be offended?
