Made vegan chicken salad with beyond meat, good eats!!!
Giovanni Morenghi
VEGAN IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE FUTURE WORLD.
Darienbeagle
it's non-GMO and dairy-free and vegan!
Darienbeagle
It's a great product, something anybody can enjoy. I fool my mother into thinking it's real chicken all the time!
Krivvin
That's amazing to hear. I hope that they can become more globally known. :)
Krivvin
Can't you see that this is an attempt to come up with a solution to finding meat that is like meat, but doesn't involve the wholesale slaughter of animals? You can think that ANY animal slaughtered is done quickly, efficiently, effectively, and most of all without unnecessarily hurting or torturing the animal. However, that is time and time again been proven to not be completely true. If someone can come up with a safe to consume alternative, that would be wonderful in helping prevent cruelty.

rod.... you are an idiot. go back to your pizza while you watch man vrs food.
Wouter De Heij
In Europa the products of OJAH (google beeter or ojah) from the Netherlands are doing realy great. In most tests the product is percieved mucht better than the products from beyond meat.
girlvegan1
Looks like I will be driving 1.5 hours round trip to MA and buy this. Please sell this in NH!!!!
Fayze
Nope. They're filled with all the nasty chemicals that will make you awfully sick. Just kidding. Check their website.
Grantley Dickinson
I would like to confirm if the plant based food used in these products are GMO and Diary free?
TheQcMike
TTTT, very interresing. I like.
BlurredFace
Indeed, the real substance is usually less hazardous over the long-term. But think of those in other countries without access to all the meat they want. I hate diet and regular coke, but I'd gladly drink either if there was no alternative.
Van Renesse
changing the world!
Rasmus Anthin
This is awesome. Hope it will become cheap enough in a near future.
Ujjwal Singh
its synthesized - 'cooked' from plant products.
Frank III Augustine Manuel
If we stopped "messing with food" the first time we did, you'd be eating raw meat.
GenoSkill
why do you use mainstream amerifat trademarks as example. sigh
Darathu
Well that depends on the individual but indeed i would say even 100 grams of cooked meat per day may be too much. And i'm sure some people eat a lot more than that. But its like replacing coke with diet coke ... all you did is switch the sugar with some other chemical that may do you harm in another way.
BlurredFace
Even still, we consume far more meat than is needed. If we can't replace meat entirely, we could still water it down with this without significant complication.
n00bdax
Does raising thousands of chicken in their own fecal matter while permanently feeding them a mix of soy, antibiotics and who knows what just to butcher and ship them in the end sound much less disgusting to you?
Rod Trent
STOP MESSING WITH FOOD! It all may seem like great ideas, but the modified foods we are eating now are killing us. As evidenced now, the effects of changes you make today will only be realized in 30 years. Don't create another "oops" moment that will kill off future generations.
Jeremy Booth
So many seem to have high regard for their idealistic view of real meat but only know it as a packaged product they get off a shelf. There are some who hunt their for food still and only they could, in the twisted pursuit for the 'real' thing, make a case against an identical copy.
Darathu
I’ve checked it out a bit more its nothing new its flavoured soy basically. Meat has a lot more than protein in it, it wont go redundant unless a cheap as dirt alternative is presented which this probably isn’t since it's still based on soy. This reminds me of the first time i heard about flavoured paper.
andre500o
Is this meat organic or genetically modified?
Chinahat242
I cannot stop seeing that guy as Kumar.
victoryismyname
Does Gates eat this stuff? Have we been eating this unaware? ....just asking...
BlurredFace
You mean that it takes an equal amount of space to grow corn and raise animals as it does to just grow corn? Plants grow faster than mammals and don't require other plants to grow, which is why you can accomplish more with the same space. We need protein, but if it can easily be engineered then real meat is redundant.
Darathu
Yes and replace them with fake meat farms... give me a break.
BlurredFace
Wow. If they can get competitive prices, I'd love some fake meat. The potential of engineered food is outstanding, and I'd like to see more of this. It'll let us reclaim our massive stretches of farmland at the very least.
Guano Printz Madsen
the goal is a more sustainable production of meat not a cheaper product
n00bdax
By building Structures half the size of modern chicken farms, though twice the output. Think of it this way: mobile phones used to as expensive as cars in their early days and considered a waste of money, nowadays nearly everyone has one with him/her all the time and if you can do without a touchscreen prices can go as low as fried chicken.at KFC around the corner.
taigarn
That's a great news, but how this alternative can cost less that the common meat?
